Golf dayThe Bobby Moore Fund Celebrity Golf Tournament 2010£108,000 raised for vital bowel cancer research!Twenty two teams joined Stephanie Moore MBE and a host of celebrity guests, including Sir Bobby Charlton CBE, Kriss Akabusi MBE, Willie Thorne, Paul Jones, Iain Dowie and Soccer AM's Max Rushden, to take on the challenge of The Ryder Cup Twenty Ten Course. Our team captains Bernard Gallacher OBE and Tommy Horton joined each team in the clubhouse, and for a hole around the course. As the club prepares for The Celtic Manor Wales Open, our teams enjoyed exclusive access to the course that will soon host the battle between Europe and the USA later in the year. Guests were treated to refreshing drinks on the course kindly provided by NSA Event Bars. After intense competition on The Twenty Ten Course, the USA team won the Bobby Moore Fund Ryder Cup Trophy which was presented at the evening gala dinner. Highlights of the evening included Omid Djalili's hilarious football-related comedy and our popular singer Cole Page. Our guests retired to their 5 star rooms for the night, before taking to The Montgomerie Course for a trick shot show by Kevin Carpenter and a second day of relaxing golf. There has already been high interest in next year's golf tournament.
