A Candle of Hope is a bag filled with sand and a candle which is decorated and dedicated to somebody touched by cancer.
A unique and moving ceremony
As night falls at your Relay For Life event, teams gather together to light the candles and pay tribute to loved ones.
It gives everyone a special opportunity to remember those who have been lost to cancer and to celebrate the lives of those who have survived the disease, and is the only time that Relay stands still.
How do I dedicate a Candle of Hope?
To dedicate a Candle of Hope in memory or celebration of a loved one, simply find your nearest venue.
We ask people to make a donation to Cancer Research UK when they dedicate a Candle of Hope so we can fund more work into beating cancer.
